Juanita has had a keen interest in photography since 1983 when she made her first pro Canon SLR T70 purchase (& it is still like new!). In late December 2009, Juanita purchased her first Canon Digital SLR camera and it was only then that Juanita really began to seriously learn the art of photography and enter club competitions from January 2010. In 2011 Juanita purchased Canon’s fantastic flagship camera the 1Ds Mark III, which she uses with all Canon Pro lenses.

Juanita soon began winning competitions from January 2010 and in 2011 she was awarded Gem Camera Club, Kalamunda “2011 Photo of the Year ~ Set Genre” plus Runner up “2011 Photo of the Year ~ Creative Genre”. Juanita regularly enters club competition to have her photographs judged and critiqued by some of Australia’s most notable Master Photographers. Juanita managed to attain club ranking of 5th place in her first year out of 70 club members, with only 5 entries for the year.

Juanita is committed to ongoing photographic education and training in order to continue developing her skills. She has had a series of education and training sessions with AIPP’s Landscape Photographer of the Year ~ Western Australia’s own Master Photographer Christian Fletcher.
Juanita is able to photograph a wide variety of genre e.g. landscapes, seascapes, portraiture, animal, lowlight, commercial etc. She has Canon professional lenses ranging from the ultra wide 14mm L right up to the 100-‐400mm L Zoom Lens. In more recent times she has had many requests for equestrian and canine photography. As a registered breeder of pedigree dogs Juanita knows the importance of capturing the nature and classic characteristics of each breed, both canine and equine. It was the volume of requests that drove the building of this website, plus the realisation that many of the commissioned photographers attending events had their camera’s set on “Auto”, it was obvious they did not know how to creatively and professionally operate their cameras.

Over the coming weeks this website will grow and it will be launched in conjunction with a FaceBook page so that people will know what is happening and where I will be. If you see Juanita at an event, came and say hi and maybe she can capture a special moment for you.

Juanita is an active member of Gem Camera Club, Kalamunda and the Western Australian Photographic Federation.

Juanita Marchesani joined Fine Art America on February 10th, 2012.
